A68 delays expected

IMPROVEMENT work on the A68 at Sorrowlessfield south of Earlston gets under way on Monday and will take a week to complete.

Transport Scotland is spending £90,000 on resurfacing and workers will be on site between 8.30am and 5.30pm each day, with a 10mph speed limit in place.

Operators BEAR Scotland say they will keep delays to a minimum. The company’s Ian Stewart commented: “A convoy traffic management system will be in place. We regret this may lead to some minor disruption.”
