Selkirk Junior Band won the preparatory section (12 years and under) of a youth contest in Galashiels on Sunday. Conducted by Colin Kemp, the young musicians also gained a gold award. Hannah Kemp came second in the junior solo contest and also lifted a gold award. She has qualified for the Scottish championships to be held in Livingston on February 2
