Walkers remember the Flodden fallen

editorial image

Members and friends of Selkirk’s Flodden 500 association have completed the final stage of their sponsored walk from Selkirk to the battlefield.

Chairman Jake Wheelans led walkers of the three-and-a-half-mile stretch from Cornhill Village Hall to Branxton Hill on Sunday. At the granite memorial – which remembers the dead of both nations – Jake laid a wreath on behalf of the Selkirk community.
