LOCAL skiffle outfit the Bogie’s Close Stompers are unleashing their musical talents on Hawick tomorrow.

They are taking part in the annual Teribuskers competition performing numbers such as My Old Man’s A Dustman and Chewing Gum at various open-air sites along the closed-off High Street.

On Thursday night they play for visiting golfers at the Town Arms, followed by one of their regular visits to the Riverside nursing home on the Sunday.

At the end of September they are providing the cabaret spot at a retiral function for The Wee Paper’s Edith Scott followed by their first visit to the Bridge Inn (formerly The Tryst) at Peebles for an early evening gig on Sunday, October 14.

Invitations have also been received from Wilton Bowling Club in Hawick and the hall at Yarrowford, and band members are checking their diaries.
