Burns supper

THE former standard bearer of the Coldstream-based 1513 Flodden Club – George Miller from Jedburgh – will propose the Immortal Memory at Selkirk Rugby Club’s Burns supper on January 27.

Provost Les Millar will toast The Lasses, with The Wee Paper’s Edith Scott replying. Actor Matthew Burgess will recite Tam o’ Shanter, while entertainment is in the hands of local musicians Jimmy Gibb and Tommy Knox. Piper Andrew Bunyan will lead in the haggis for retired butcher John Nairn to address.
