MP Moore’s tribute to predecessor
BORDERS MP Michael Moore has paid tribute to the man he succeeded in the House of Commons.
Commenting following the launch of David Steel’s biography at Biteback Publishing in London, Mr Moore said it had been an honour to have been invited to write the foreword to the book, written by David Torrance.
“In my speech at the launch, I was glad to be able to publicly thank him for the support and inspiration he has been to me over the years, as a friend and colleague.
“I owe David a significant debt of gratitude for the crucial role he has played in UK and Scottish politics.”
