The Hermitage for sale

THE Selkirk home of The Wee Paper and its sister publication, The Southern Reporter, is about to go on the market.

A For Sale sign will be placed at The Hermitage by the papers’ owners, Johnston Press.

The company is disposing of a number of properties across its newspaper empire. But the firm has given assurances the newspaper editorial and advertising teams will continue to be based locally. In addition to The Hermitage, the Tweeddale Press offices in Berwick and Kelso are also being sold.

Offices within the same management group as TheSouthern and The Wee Paper are also closing in South Shields, Hartlepool and Sunderland city centre.
