Technology takes Moy's work global

LOCAL artist Moy Mackay has produced her first virtual exhibition – using mobile phone technology.

Her 26 landscapes, created from felt, from around Scotland can be viewed on an Apple iPhone.

Moy – who is based at the Wasps Studio in Selkirk – told us: “This is the first exhibition of its kind and is available as a free download to Apple iphone users. It will also work on some other phones.

“I like the idea of art-sharing and came up with the idea of creating an exhibition which can be seen worldwide by anyone who can access the application.

“This is an experimental project and I have no idea of its outcome but I hope it will allow my work to be enjoyed by a wide audience.”

And she is encouraging viewers to provide feedback through her website guest book or by rating the exhibition on itunes store.

The exhibition can be viewed by going onto Apple itunes, applications, search, moy mackay.

It can also be viewed on the artist’s website www.moymackay.com
