A taste of Borders life for Filipino Rotarians
The group were so impressed with the friendship and camaraderie that they experienced in February – when 15 people from the Selkirk club (Rotarians and partners) visited them to be involved in working on humanitarian projects that they had supported and funded – that they immediately embarked on planning a visit to the Borders.
Borderers were kept informed via social media pages (@SelkirkRotary) about projects delivered during the two-week trip to Naga City.

Hide AdThe Philippines party, led by club president Maryselle Olivan, are staying in Selkirk for a week to learn about the town and meet the people who helped them so much. They are also taking part in a number of events that local Rotarians have planned, including a meal at the town’s Taste of Spice Restaurant, a Scottish evening, attendance at a weekly Selkirk club meeting, visits to the east coast and a distillery, plus a civic reception at The Haining.
