Local MSP Christine Grahame has followed her success in the recent Holyrood elections by being voted deputy presiding officer.

The Midlothian South, Tweeddale and Lauderdale SNP MSP was proposed for the post by fellow SNP MSP, Paul Wheelhouse, and seconded by Conservative MSP Jackson Carlaw.

The other deputy presiding officer voted in by MSPs of the new parliament is another SNP member, Linda Fabiani.
