Cancer walk cash tops £8,400

The Ladies foy is now in its 5th Year has donated all money raised to the youth of 
the town. The recipients of money raised last year is the selkirk silver band 
junior section. The ladies of selkirk enjoy a good common riding sing song and 
this is what we aim for and yet again this year is total sell out.. Tonight 
Monday following the Kids singing club Helen Hogan and Joyce Wright presented a 
cheque to Colin Kemp of the Silver band.

Cancer charity fundraiser Joyce Wright has confirmed that her walk in April raised £8,438.50.

Eighty walkers hiked 20 miles from St Mary’s Loch to Traquair and then over the Minch and the Three Brethren to Selkirk. She thanked First Bus for transport and the Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue team for its support.
