Holiday Club offers range of activities

The Commonwealth Games may be over, but next week athletes’ villages will be springing up in Selkirk.

Monday sees the start of the Churches Together Holiday Club which is held each year for primary school pupils.

A Churches Together spokesperson commented: “There will be lots of games, crafts, songs and stories about Jesus.

“Just as the Queen was present at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow,King Jesus – the king with a difference – will be present at the Holiday Club.

“Each age group will be in a different country learning a bit of about that country as the week goes on.”

The club runs from 10am to noon, from Monday to Friday, at Connections in the Back Row.

Thursday sees the family barbecue at Connections from 5pm until 7pm when families will be able to join in the fun and see what the youngsters have been doing.

Children can be enrolled any day at 10am.
