A new ‘pay once’ charging scheme is to be introduced at Bowhill to make the House, Country Estate and gardens even more accessible.

Under the new structure visitors will be able to buy a season pass to the estate for a one-off entry fee, providing maximum value for money for both local visitors and tourists.

The new pass – just one of a number of changes and additions Bowhill is planning for the 2013 season – means families will now be able to visit for just £10 a year (a great saving compared to last year’s £35 per entry charge).

As well as the new pass, a children’s soft play area has been created and will be ready for the Estate opening on March 29. The fun and interactive addition to the facilities will be able to cater for approximately 32 children (aged nine months to six years) and will be situated across the courtyard from the Minstrel Tearoom – perfect for young ones to play regardless of the weather.

House and Events Manager, Helen Currie, at Bowhill House and Estate said: “We are very excited about our upcoming open season and with the latest changes and additions to the Estate for 2013, we are confident visitors from our local communities and further afield will immensely enjoy the day-out experience we have to offer.

“Our new opening times and price structure have been designed to make it even easier for people to visit Bowhill and explore the beautiful surroundings at their leisure.

“Our Nutty the Squirrel soft play centre is a fantastic addition and I am sure it will be a big hit with parents.

Entry fees for Bowhill Estate will be £3.50 adults, £2.50 concession, and free for under threes. A family ticket (two adults and two children) is available for £10. House and Estate tickets, which include a house tour during the open season, are also available at a price of £8, £7 for concessions.

All of the above tickets can be transferred for a season ticket in the courtyard shop which will allow repeat visits to the Estate in 2013 for no extra cost. The Nutty the
Squirrel soft play area will be charged at an additional £2 per child per visit and will be half price during the opening Easter weekend (March 29-31).
