Busy Scouts keep their flag in Selkirk

Selkirk Scout Group

Selkirk Scout Group

Members of Selkirk Scout Group have had a busy time. Last Wednesday evening some Scouts, accompanied by Derek Brown, attended a presentation evening by Selkirk Rotary Club, where they were presented with a cheque for £1,000 towards the Scout hall roof appeal.

On Saturday a coffee morning, sponsored by Sainsbury’s, raised £360 and the Scouts are grateful to all who supported this event.

Tickets are on sale for the Scout and Guide Concert which takes place in the Victoria Halls on March 21 and 22, and can be purchased from Rodgersons Newsagent.

On Sunday both organisations took part in a Thinking Day Service in the Parish Church, where the theme was “belonging”.

The photographs show helpers at the coffee morning and the Colour Party prior to the church service.
