Glowing report for care home

A SELKIRK care home has been given a glowing report from the Care Inspectorate.

Riverside Healthcare Centre on Bridge Street was rated “very good” in the four areas examined by inspector Sandra Thompson following a visit at the end of last year.

Her recently published report states: “The service ensures that residents and their relatives are encouraged to feedback their views about the quality of the service and that their views are valued and acted upon. Feedback from residents and relatives was very positive.

She added: “Staff were committed to delivering a high quality of care and were able to make suggestions to improve the standards of care.

“There was a strong management team and robust quality assurance systems in place to ensure continual assessment and improvement of the service.”

The care home provides 24-hour care for up to 45 older people.
