SOUTERS' views are being sought by Scottish Borders Council as it considers school session dates for the next three years.

The consultation, which launches on Monday and lasts for 10 weeks, will see SBC ask teachers, pupils, staff, businesses and the local community to choose one of three options.

They include returning to a seven-week summer holiday for school terms from 2011 to 2014.The survey will also provide an opportunity to comment on arrangements for the St Andrew's Day and Queen's Diamond Jubilee holidays.
