Two held after white goods theft in Galashiels

TWO man are due to appear in court at Selkirk today in connection with a high-value theft from an electrical store in Galashiels, writes Bob Burgess.

They were arrested after police stopped a van on the A7 at Fushiebridge in Midlothian.

Police say that a number of washing machines and tumble driers were discovered in the van.

The vehicle was stopped after reports of a theft from Curry’s electrical store at the Comelybank retail park.
