A free four-week 24Fit camp is to be staged in Selkirk, and is open to everyone. Registration is tomorrow (Saturday) from 9.30am-noon at the Riverside Fit Club, 9 Weavers Court, Selkirk.

The aim of the camp is to help encourage community exercise.

Classes run at various times during the week and then recognition is given at the end of the four weeks to participants, with a male and female winner being announced. Exercise is held outdoors and anyone, of any age or ability, can join in, with children welcome too.

Every participant receives a full body scan and evaluation, and they are weighed and measured at the beginning and end of the challenge. The difference in fitness levels before and after are also evaluated.

Coach Stuart Chisholm is excited about helping to get Souters fit and active.

“It’s important for us to build a community where everyone feels able to participate, have fun and get fit. It’s absolutely free which ensures everyone can do it – there are no excuses.”

Classes are run outdoors at 6pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and at 6.30am on Wednesdays. Spaces are strictly limited, so contact Stuart or fellow coach Lindsay to reserve your place by calling 01750 487 222.
