Knowepark Primary’s young scientists proved themselves quite adept business people as well, raising £180 through their pop-up shop this week.
The school’s P5/6 pupils have been experimenting in science classes and, on Wednesday, set up their shop in Tower Street.
was an excellent turnout of people visiting the shop – both parents and members of the wider community.
“In fact, they were queuing up to get in at times,” said class teacher, Arlene Bannerman.
“People were interested to see what the pupils have been doing in school and it was a valuable experience for the children in dealing with the public.”
Money raised goes towards a trip to Glasgow Science Centre.
