FREE access to business advice is being offered to fledgling companies by Selkirk-based Business Gateway, in the form of workshops throughout January.
Last year 820 entrepreneurs took advantage of more than 100 workshops.

On Tuesday attention turns to how to get the best from the web, while the following day the subject is bookkeeping. On Thursday experts will give advice on marketing and market research.

All the workshops take place at Ettrick Riverside on Dunsdale Road and run between 9.30am and 12.30pm.

Local councillor Vicky Davidson, leader of economic development at Scottish Borders Council, said: “Gaining free access to relevant expert advice is an offer that’s almost too good to ignore for any firm.”

Business Gateway says that the first few months of the year are traditionally their busiest. For more details call 0845 609 6611.
