AN affordable housing development in Yarrowford has been given the go-ahead despite local residents' concerns.
Eight semi-detached homes will be built at land north-east of the hamlet by Eildon Housing Association after Scottish Borders Council supported its proposals.

Ettrick and Yarrowford Community Council had raised “grave concerns” about the development, citing the access routes from Minchmoor Road and the A708 to be disturbing for existing residents and dangerous.

However, SBC’s planning department have moved to quell those fears by adding a condition to their approval that would see Minchmoor Road ‘permanently stopped’ at a certain point.
