BRASS, pipes and a Bavarian Oompah band are set to strike the right chord during celebrations to mark the 10th anniversary of Selkirk's twinning with Plattling.
The three bands will star at a concert in the Victoria Halls on Friday, September 5, at the start of a weekend of fun and festivities. Colin Kemp and Andrew Bunyan got in some early practice as compere John Nichol entered into the spirit – sorry beer – of the occasion. Tickets are on sale at the Selkirk Deli. Photograph: Rob Gray
