Super Selkirk fund-raiser Fiona Scott was among those thanked by Macmillan Cancer Support for the huge amounts of money raised to support those living with cancer.
Over the years, Fiona has generated nearly £75,000 for the national charity and was thanked personally by David Grout, the organisation's area fund-raising manager, when she presented him with a cheque for £3,562.50 raised through various events in 2007.

Receiving the donation at Weir's Chemist in Selkirk where Fiona works, Mr Grout paid tribute to her dedication, and that of other fund-raisers across the region. He said: "Without their hard work we would not be able to continue funding services across the Borders and helping people who are living with cancer."

A wide variety of fund-raising events is planned for the coming months. Anyone who would like to get involved should phone 01899 229059 or email dgrout@macmillan.org.uk
