In Saturday's May Medal and Brown Cup competition, golfers playing in the morning missed the thunder and lighting, but it was the afternoon players who stormed round in the worst of the weather to collect their share of the prizes.
Ewan Barrowclough continued his fine run of form with a winning net 62 and Mickey Robertson had a brilliant round of 65 less one for a net 64.

rdon the greenkeeper, who knows every inch of the course, but still managed to lose six balls.

There were 16 twos overall, but only four were at the nominated holes. The lucky four were J. R. Cooper, L. McAllister, E. Middlemas and N. Purves.
In the Andrew Hill Challenge Cup last week, it was captain Jim Farrell, lady captain Merle Heard and young Glen Maltman who won the coveted trophy. The runners-up, pipped by a whisker, were Diane Cassidy, Alister McVie and Craig Sandilands.
The Elsie Wilson Trophy was the prize for the ladies at Selkirk Golf Club on Monday.
Adapting best to the tricky wind conditions over the Hill was Diane Cassidy who lifted the trophy with an impressive 76 (10) 66. Also playing well was Alsion Rutherford who won the scratch with a 77.
Diane bagged a two along with Moira Wilson.
