Ladies: On a near-perfect night over The Hill on Monday, Diane (new putter) Cassidy returned a career-best score to lift the Jenny Cleghorn Salver.

Diane’s 73 (9) 64 was too good for the rest of the field and has given her a new handicap of 8.0.

In the bronze division, Lynne Robertson won the brooch with 95 (25) 70. The scratch was won by Martine Pow 68. There were four twos: Carol Purvis (one) and Martine Pow (three).

Juniors: Sean Nixon finally unleashed some of his potential, winning the Bill Ballantyne Trophy with a fine 68 (20) in windy conditions.

Runner-up spot went to young Christy Burrows with a 73 (54).
