AFTER all the excitement of the last fortnight, Selkirk put Scottish Cup business on the back burner tomorrow in order to pick up their league campaign, writes Fiona Scott.
No easy feat, as a journey to play third-placed Lothian Thistle beckons, but tails are up at Yarrow Park and the Souters have victory in their sights.

Speaking to The Wee Paper this week, confident chairman Jim Moody said: "Things are definitely l
ooking up.

"We have a lot of young laddies in our squad and with the help of our more experienced players they are really coming on and settling in grand.

"It's back down to the nitty gritty again this weekend, though. Lothian Thistle are a different team this season to the one we beat in the final of the Image Printers Cup earlier this year, but we know that and we, too, have come on in leaps and bounds. It should be a tough game, but I feel we can win it."

Selkirk have Michael Moir suspended for tomorrow's game at Saughton Enclosure (ko 2.30pm) while Barry Milven and Darren Munroe are both out due to attending weddings.

Looking ahead to his team's second round Scottish Cup tie away to Dalbeattie Star on October 25, Moody added: "We will be the underdogs, which doesn't bother us a bit. We have nothing to lose and everything to gain and we'll be going for it."
