LAST Friday night's penultimate round of matches in the Pub League at Selkirk Bowling Club saw some pressure being piled on the leaders.
The Masons were looking to take advantage of playing bottom club The Southern Reporter and take a large shot differential into the last game.

Unfortunately, the hacks were on top form and managed to pull off their best defeat yet at 13-7.

Second-placed Merchants were also ensuring the last match will be a pressure pot. Their 11-6 win over the Ex-Standard Bearers kept them in the hunt in second place with a much better differential.

The Fleece kept their third place with a 13-8 victory over the Tory Club, while second-bottom Town Arms lost 18-11 to Babychams.

Finals night is next Friday at 7pm.
