SEMI-JUNIORS
AFTER their spirited efforts of previous weeks, Youth Club started sluggishly on Saturday and neither team was able to score before half time.
Captain Darren Clapperton showed the way after the restart by darting through the Kelso rearguard to set up winger Nyle Godsmark to touch down. Rory Banks added a penalty, but Kelso struck back with a try.
A second Banks penalty eased the worry and with the clock ticking down, Clapperton split open the Kelso defence to score before the full-time whistle.
Thanks to Burnmill Motors for sponsoring the new Youth Club tops for the season and Louise of the Town Arms for sponsoring the match ball.
