Football club rewards players after difficult season

PLAYERS and officials of Selkirk Football Club gathered at the Yarrow Park clubrooms last Friday to celebrate the end of a long, hard season and look forward to a bright new future.

Despite having recently been relegated to the East of Scotland First Division, the club are already building towards their bounce back up.

They have already began a re-signing push and secured several high-profile pre-season fixtures, as well as securing a sponsorship deal with communication giants Talk Talk, which will go towards the construction of a spectator stand.

Pre-season fixtures: Tuesday, July 17 – v Cowdenbeath FC (7.30pm); Tuesday, July 31 – Selkirk FC v Hibernian FC (6.30pm); Saturday, August 4 – v Celtic FC (2.30pm).

There are several others to be announced.
