IT WAS the turn of the town’s young football stars of the future to shine on Sunday when Selkirk FC Juniors held their annual awards ceremony.

Coaches and players enjoyed a jolly successful Christmas party which boasted a good turnout of both, as well as a visit from Santa himself.

The awards were presented by Selkirk first team captain and legendary goalkeeper John Dodds.

The club would like to thank everyone involved in making it another great year for Selkirk Juniors and wish everyone a very happy Christmas.

The award winners are:

Under-10s Player of the Year: Andy Brown.

Under-10s Individual Performance: Keelan Gerrard.

Under-10s Most Improved Players: Ben Dickson and Greig Lothian.

Under-11s Player of the Year: Shane Millar.

Under-11s Most Improved Player: Lewis Sanders.

Under-9s Player of the Year: Finlay Wheelans.

Under-9s Most Improved Player: Alex Handyside.

Under-8s Player of the Year: Ivan Burt-Smith.

Under-8s Most Improved Player: Andrew McCulloch.
