Masons are kept at Town Arms' length

WE'RE approaching the half-way stage in the 2010 Selkirk Pub League and some upsets last week saw major changes at the top of the table - unlike the bottom end which saw no surprises whatsoever.

The Masons may have been forgiven for presuming they would head the pack following a mighty victory over previous leaders the Babychams. But the Town Arms are now clearly in control, having sold the Merchants down the river to the tune of a 14-7 defeat. The Southern and Ex-Standard Bearers are both proving as useless as one another and remain glued to the bottom.

Week three results: Merchants 7 Town Arms 14; Fleece 14 Southern Reporter 6; Ex-Standard Bearers 8 Tory Club 13; Babychams 8 Masons 14.

Tonight's fixtures: Town Arms v Ex-Standard Bearers; Merchant Company B v Masons; Southern Reporter v Tory Club G; Fleece A v Babychams.
