It all makes Sence to Coltherd yard

STUART COLTHERD-trained Talkin Sence, pictured right, was the talk of Kelso last Saturday when winning the two-mile, six-furlong Timeform Race Passes handicap hurdle race at the local course.
Ridden by Jedburgh jockey Gary Rutherford, the seven-year-old relished the testing conditions to post a convincing 12-length victory on his first start for 227 days.
“He’s not a bad little horse,” said the Midlem-based trainer.
“He stays well and was only just beaten on soft ground at Perth in the spring.”
In the final race of the day, Gymdoli produced another consistent run for Selkirk permit-holder Rayson Nixon and his wife Susan, who bred the five-year-old, behind the Richie McGrath-trained Stopped Out and Shanen.
Racing returns to Kelso on January 13.
