Runners have a Burning ambition

MORE than 100 brave runners are set to take part in one of the toughest hill races in the region tomorrow.

Feel the Burns, so named because it takes place around the time of the bard’s birthday, will be run in aid of Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team and consists of a 13.7-mile run over tough terrain and steep climbs.

The gruelling route starts and finishes at Corby Lynn at noon and takes in Peat Law, The Three Brethren, Brownknowe Hill and Foulshiels Hill.
