Rutherford on fire in Winter Woollies

ONE of Selkirk’s steadiest golfers – and a stalwart of the winter golf scene – won yet again in last weekend’s Winter Woollies competition.

Les Rutherford’s excellent nett 32 was a shot clear of a posse of bandits.

Results: 1, L. Rutherford nett 32; 2 (equal), I. Wilkie, A. Webster, S. Kemp and J. Farrell 33.

This week’s sympathy goes to R. J. Wilson who tarnished his round with three eights. However, he garnished it with a two at the last and it was drinks all round! – A. M.
