Snow joke on The Hill

THE snow deterred many players from golfing on The Hill last weekend.

But not all of them.

In the Three-man Texas Scramble, the team consisting of Ian Wilkie, Billy Macdonald and son Michael, calling themselves The Tobogganists, went round in 33 for a nett 31.9 to sleigh the opposition.

Well done to all who braved the elements, particularly to Tom Welsh’s team who went round twice in arctic conditions. As they say, you have to be Inuit to win it. AM
