Winter weather makes snow difference

IN last Saturday’s charity competition in aid of Midwives In Malawi, played in the early morning snow, Peter Henderson ploughed round in 40 points to win.

No sign of a midwife crisis there, then.

On Sunday, the Christmas Crackers competition resumed and it was two stalwarts of the winter game that leapt to the fore – Billy MacDonald pipping Norman Roxburgh by a shot.

In the twos sweep, last week’s tears turned to cheers as R. J. Wilson holed out in two at the sixth to be the only cracker winner of the day.

Tonight (Friday), it is the club’s presentation night when prizes will be given out, golf videos will be shown and a free buffet will be enjoyed by members and friends.

It all starts at 7.30pm.
