SATURDAY'S game proved a tough one for Selkirk, who did enough to get a draw.

The Souters started well, but a well-drilled Jed team withstood the onslaught andscored a good unconverted try from a scrum near the line.

This stung Selkirk into action, and Rory Banks scored three penalties for a 9-5 interval lead.

The second halfsaw Jed score a quick tryfrom a rolling maul.

After 10 minutes, Banks converted another penalty to put Selkirk back in the lead at 12-10.

But Jed scored another try again through their forwards controlling the ball close to the line and again it was unconverted.

The visitors attacked in the final 10 minutes, but scored only a Banks penalty to tie the game.
