Tough going at Timpendean

THE second leg of the Ettrick Forest Riders Association Summer Dressage and Showjumping Leagues took place at Timpendean, Jedburgh, recently.

Dressage was judged by Claire Botterell from Ancrum and Richard Begbie from Edinburgh, while the showjumping took place in the afternoon on the course built by Jane Aitken and judged by Fyonnah Thomas. Selkirk riders were: Sarah Bett, Rhona Young, Sarah Johnstone and Jane Aitken.

Dressage results – Prelim 4: 1, Joyce Grigor (Copper); 2, Clare Armet (Cragsyde Rose Quartz) 3, Carol Wright (Uist of Torlundy).

Prelim 13: 1, Lauren Piercy (Kitty); 2, Lindsay Dun (Shoestanes Sapphire); 3, Jane Clark (Luke Lively).

Novice 26: 1, Anne Millar (Master Roddy); 2, Jane Aitken (The Rookie); 3, Wendy Bell (Taktiform).

Elementary 42: 1, Taktiform; 2, Master Roddy; 3, The Rookie.

Showjumping results – Nursery: 1, Katie Jo Walling (Feminist); 2, Gavin Millar (Master Bailey); 3, Fiona Hutcheson (Charlie).

Novice: 1, Steph Brand (Rosie); 2, Sarah Bett (Katinka); 3, Katie Jo Walling (Political Sox).

Intermediate: 1, Nina Cessford (Cowdenknowes Tikka); 2, Marita Gibson (George); 3, Jo Luton (Belle).

Open: 1, Cowdenknowes Tikka; 2, Laura Keir (Rakaposhi); 3, Ian Clark (Deniro).
