MORE than 100 Selkirk folk took to the hills on Sunday to catch the wily wild haggis.
It's a well-known fact that the haggi around Selkirk Hill are the most succulent of its breed, and this fact has not gone un-noticed by the locals.
Guided by master of ceremonies - the Wee Paper's very own Bob Burgess - and head haggis hunter Jimmy Linton, a grand haul was caught, slaughtered, cooked and enjoyed with the odd nip of whisky.
See this week's Wee Paper for the full story and a picture special.
