Guests invited to Selkirk High School on Monday were treated to a preview of its forthcoming fashion show on Thursday, March 27.
The evening featured the stunning results of a photo shoot at The Haining, showcasing work done by students from the school, by award-winning photographer John Parris, who took the fashion shot of pupil Catherine Bir, pictured right.
Mr Parris has supported the school’s creative fashion course for the past 10 years.
Selkirk High School pupils have been working hard throughout the year creating outfits for their fashion event which they called The Frocky Horror Show.
Creative fashion students also presented a design brief to local primary 7 pupils who will be modelling their outfits with a Commonwealth twist.
First-year youngsters have been busy designing scarves that will also be featured on the catwalk.
High-fashion outfits created by many Borders companies will also be featured throughout the March event.
The show will be opened by two popular musicians – Davie Chapman and Iain Scott from Scocha – as well as two former pupils of the course, now both teaching in Selkirk primary schools.
Tickets are on sale from Rogerson the Newsagent and Scott’s Selkirk at a cost of £6, and £4 for concessions, for the evening show at 7.30pm.
The afternoon event is also open to the public at a cost of £2, starting at 2pm.
