The String Jam Club is moving from Gala’s Salmon Inn to Selkirk’s County Hotel, with an inaugural session on Saturday, January 11.
“After much deliberation and having viewed several potential venues, we have found ourselves a wonderful new home – the County Hotel in Selkirk,” said the club’s Allie Fox. “The County’s comfortable and atmospheric room is a bit larger than the Salmon’s, with the potential for seating 60-100 people but, most importantly, it has that intimate and welcoming feeling that is the hallmark of a String Jam Club event.
“There is also a bar in the room.
“Originally, we were planning to relaunch in November, but that’s now a bit too close, so we’ve decided to relaunch in January.
“This will give us time to book an exciting and quality programme of events.
“The club will continue to meet on the second Saturday of the month.”
